On one fall day I woke up and started to get ready for school. It was a normal day like any other. My mom dropped me off at school and left, not noticing that I started walking away towards my grandpa´s library.
I arrive at my grandpa's library and run to the kid’s section. My grandpa spots me and asks:
“Shouldn't you be in school missy?”
“Ummmmm...No” I answer
I love books, I can't help it, I miss school just to read books. I know that I’m not doing any good to myself, but I learn with books.
A sassy girl walks. in and says “I lost my phone here could you help my find it?”
my grandpa nicely answers “There is is the lost and found right there my dear”
“Oh, thank you” She went to check the lost and found. A few minutes later she returns with her phone in her hands laughing and typing, all happy.
“Bla! Lucia Begogg” I mumbled
Hours later I snatched a book about how to be popular and ran to the checkout line.
“Do all the rules apply for everybody?” I asked my grandpa
“Yes milady” he answers
I run to school, just in time for my mom to get me.
“Any homework darling?” Asks my mom
“Nope” I reply.
“Good” she says.
The next day I return to my grandpa’s library and spot a girl getting the book “The written vines” I immediately run and go get my grandpa
“Noooo! Never get that book! Do you see the locks? That book is dangerous!!!” he says
“But lately these days I’ve been really bored, I want adventure, I promise I’ll be careful!” she replies
“Fine then! But don’t tell me we didn’t warn you…” I say.
She goes to the checkout line and my grandpa asks:
“Are you really sure you want to take this book, dear?”
“Yes, I’m sure” she replies confidently.
One day later: a bunch of policies surround a house near ours… Oh my god! The crazy girl that wanted the locked-up book! I ran to the house with the policies and asked a police man:
“What happened?”
“Seems to me that a girl was reading a book then vines just popped out of it and hanged her.” he replies
Oh My God! I think
He had warned her about the book
Now it was too late
I ran to tell my grandpa the whole story, then when I was done talking he said: “I’m going to put an end to that book.” He stood up and headed to the house full of policies.
“Don´t go grandpa!” I say, but it doesn’t seem to work “Please grandpa!” I insist
“No!” he finally says “I have to finish what I’ve started”
“What do you mean finish what you’ve started?” I ask puzzled
“Listen kid” he says “I wrote that book, and I locked that book, it’s complicated, I’ll explain it to you later.”
“I’ll wait” I say
My grandpa snatches the book from the police officers and starts a fire. He is going to burn the book! He’s giving an end to that bad book!
Hours pass, now the book are just ashes.
“few!” my grandpa says “All done”
“Now can you tell me what you were about to?” I ask “Yes my dear, this happened long ago when I was younger, and was about to open the library, I loved books, so I decide to write one. I did, but when my dad read it the same thing that happened now, I lost some interest in books because of my sadness. I got over some of it, but not all of it. I locked that book up because I was afraid that would happen again. And since it had been so much time that had happened, I thought it wouldn’t happen again. Get it?”
Luana,
I think you could make the size of the font smaller, also I really liked your story. Why dose the book do this to people?

1. I really like your story, it was very interesting and I think you did a great job on the background, about the characteristics of the characters and about the book “The written vines” and it was an interesting story that kept my attention the whole time.
2. How did you get the idea of all these background stories such as narrator loving books, her grandfather owning a library, and about this book?
3. Even though I see that the grammar looks almost perfect on most parts, in some parts you missed a few things like periods, capitalization on start of a dialogue (there was one place you missed it) and that you wrote the plural of the word “policy” instead of “police”.
